effective heat transfer is brought out in this study.

Finite Element Analysis of a Finite Plate with Circular Hole

This project is to investigate the stress concentration phenomenon in a structural component by simulating a finite flat plate with a central circular hole subjected to uniaxial tensile loading along its longitudinal axis. 4 &8 noded quadrilateral element shall be selected for the mesh simulation. It was also followed by mesh refinement near the hole region and further study of the edge effect. This comparison validated the numerical model and quantified the accuracy of the finite element predictions.
